Camp Stitch A Lot is on for 2011!

This year camp will be held at McCollum Park in the Cougar Auditorium during the weeks of:

June 27-July 1, 2011
July 11-15, 2011
July 18-22, 2011

Check back for more details about our classes. The Snohomish County Clothing and Textile Advisors is a non-profit volunteer group that teaches needlearts to children aged 8-17.

Training for new Members

Saturday Sew- Santa's Hat Purse

Join us for our Make and Take workshop on Saturday, November 21st from 10:00am to 2:00PM. Students will take a Santa hat and tranform it into a cute shoulder strap purse.It is a a great accesssory or gift for the upcoming holidays! This workshop is open to students ages 8-17.Class fee is $5.00.
This workshop will be held at the WSU Snohomish County Extension Office, 600 128TH ST S.E.Everett. Please contact our registrar at 425-338-2400 ext.5545 for more information. The registration form for the November Saturday Sew is available at the link on the left side of this page.

Supplies needed for the the Santa Hat purse are:
Size large Santa Hat- The hats are about 11 inches wide, 22 inches around
and 15 inches long.(can be found at Michaels)
1/4 yard fusible interfacing
large snaps
A fat quarter or 1/4 yard of printed Christmas cotton for lining
1 1/4 yards of ribbon for the handle
Matching thread
Students will also need to provide a portible sewing machine along with basic sewing tools.

Saturday Sew Pencil Case

September 19 is Saturday Sew!

Come to the Extension office and make a pencil case to put in your notebook. The supply list for this project is:

1 fat quarter of fabric
1 12 inch all purpose zipper
Matching all purpose thread

Please call our registrar 425-338-2400 Ext.5545 if you are planning to come. The class fee is $5.00. The registration form for the October Saturday Sew is available at the link listed on the left side of this page.

Saturday Sew goes from 10:00 to 1:00. See ya!

Our group, the Clothing and Textile Advisors of Snohomish County, is a non-profit, volunteer organization that is dedicated to teaching the needlearts to children and adults. We would love to see you at one of our monthly meetings so you can learn more about our programs.

We had a great parent orientation last night. Lots of kids were excited about Camp Stitch A Lot. They're ready to start sewing and making!

We ran out of supply lists. They are included here. Please look to the links at the left side of the page to find the list for the class that you're interested in.

We will have a meeting on June 15th at McCollum Park to show you the projects we will teach at Camp Stitch A Lot. Bring in your sewing machine at 6 p.m. and one of the expert teachers will try it out and let you know if it is in good working order for camp. At 7 p.m. we will introduce the classes and projects. Patterns and supply lists will be available. We also need you to prepare various registration forms.
